Sun Poisoning : Symptoms, Treatment And Prevention

Sun sunburn and sun poisoning are both known as photodermatitis in medical terms. In sunburns, the symptoms are less severe, while in sun poisoning, the reaction is more severe and uncomfortable.

What is the difference between a sunburn and sun poisoning?
Sun poisoning is used for a very bad sunburn like headache, nausea, chills, pain on the skin, blisters, etc. which are not seen in mild sunburns.

If you have light skin, you are likely to have severe sunburn (sun poisoning) symptoms if you stay in the sun for a long time without protection.
